Liton Chandra Paul (Senior Member, IEEE) is currently pursuing a
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (EE) in the Department of
Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at The University of
Alabama (UA), Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA. He is on study leave
from his position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of
Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE) at
Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST), Pabna-6600,
Bangladesh. He earned both his M.Sc. in Electrical and
Electronic Engineering (EEE) and B.Sc. in Electronics and
Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) from Rajshahi University of
Engineering & Technology (RUET). Throughout his academic career,
he has actively participated in numerous non-profit and social
welfare organizations, making meaningful contributions to
community development and professional activities. Mr. Paul
graduated as the First Class First (top-ranked student) in the
Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at
RUET and received the prestigious University Gold Medal in
recognition of his outstanding academic performance in the B.Sc.
program. His research excellence has been recognized through
several prestigious awards, including the Prof. Syed Mahbubur
Rahman Best Paper Award at IEEE ICCIT 2021, the Research
Excellence Award – 2022, and the Outstanding Researcher Award –
2023 from PUST. Over the years, he has secured several
competitive research grants from various organizations and has
authored numerous publications in internationally recognized
peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He has held several
leadership positions within IEEE, including Vice Chair, IEEE
Young Professionals Bangladesh (2025–2026), Founding Advisor,
IEEE PUST AP-S Student Branch Chapter (2024–2026), Treasurer,
IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Bangladesh Chapter
(2025–2026), Advisor, IEEE PUST Student Branch (2024–2025), Vice
Chair (Technical), IEEE Young Professionals Bangladesh
(2022–2023), and Counselor, IEEE PUST Student Branch
(2020–2021). Currently, he serves as Secretary of The University
of Alabama IEEE Student Branch, Advisor of the IEEE PUST AP-S
Student Branch Chapter, and Student Activity Coordinator of the
IEEE AP-S/MTT-S Bangladesh Joint Chapter. He also serves as
Entrepreneurship Ambassador (Professional Lead, Bangladesh
Section) for the IEEE Region 10 Ad Hoc Committee on
Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEI) 2025. In addition, he has
served as an IEEE Day Ambassador in 2024 and 2025, an IEEE
YESIST12 Ambassador and Pilot in 2025, and an Organizing Member
of both IEEE SPICSCON 2021 and IEEE YPCON 2025. He has been
selected as a GAIN (Graduate Ambassador Initiative Network)
Ambassador at The University of Alabama for the 2026–2027
academic year. He is also a member of the IEEE Young
Professionals Region 3 Engagement & Communication Team (USA). At
PUST, he has successfully carried out several administrative
responsibilities, including Assistant Director of the Student
Advisor Office, Additional Director of the Institutional Quality
Assurance Cell (IQAC), and Assistant Provost of a Student Hall.
Mr. Paul serves as an Academic Editor of the International
Journal of Antennas and Propagation, published by John Wiley &
Sons Ltd. (ISSN 1687-5877 online; ISSN 1687-5869 print). He is
also an active reviewer for numerous prestigious international
journals and conferences published by IEEE, Springer Nature,
Elsevier, Wiley, Cambridge University Press, IET, Hindawi, IOP,
MDPI, Taylor & Francis, and other leading publishers. His
professional memberships include the Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institution of Engineers,
Bangladesh (IEB), with affiliations to several IEEE technical
societies, including the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society
(AP-S). Beyond academia, he is actively involved with Rover
Scouts Bangladesh. His research interests include antennas and
RF circuits, microwave engineering, laser technologies, quantum
computing, quantum photonics, and quantum devices.
